It’s a little touchy about having to be re-calibrated and battery life is not huge, but overall it worked great.

Review for BLATN Smart 128s Air Quality Monitor:DO NOT BUY: Absolute garbage, totally inaccurate.I tested the BLATN meter for an entire week with 3 separate, calibrated, meters. The BLATN is grossly inaccurate.I placed a new Aranet4 CO2 meter and the BLATN Smart 128s inside a sealed plastic bag with 4A molecular sieve, which adsorbs CO2 and TVOC: you can see in the pictures that the BLATN is completely inaccurate.I held the BLATN over my alcohol based electric shaver cleaner and it registered DEADLY!The BLATN consistently read over 300 ppm CO2 above the actual value.I fully calibrated the BLANT, per lously instructions, and compared it to a new Tripplett FM260 HCHO, TVOC meter. The Triplett shows correct zero reading for outside air, the BLATN shows pure error. The BLATN data file is a useless text file that takes considerable effort to process into a spreadsheet and then graph. The BLATN does not record 12 different testing items, it only records 6:the other 6 are only the raw particle data that gets converted into the mg/m^3 data.

I have asthma and have this unit monitoring air quality in my living space 24/7 (connected to wall outlet via usb port adapter). Particles count seems to be accurate since it agrees with my air max 320 HEPA filter. VOCs sensor sensitive to any strong smell (food, paint, dish soap, etc). In order for unit to be accurate you need to leave it where you need to measure for at least an hour or so. Compared to other units on the market this is probably the best bang for the buck for instant readings. I also have an air wave sensor but that one seems to be better for longer term averages than instant readings. Battery life on unit is very short so I just keep it plugged in. Does not feel cheap, appears well built but user interface could use a refresh or update.

First, let me say that the manual needs to be more explicit about the keys and their functions. For example, the test button is also the enter key when setting up to measure. Calibrating the formaldehyde and TVOC by setting up sampling outside is necessary for inside measurements. The suggested warm up time before starting measurement is 5 minutes. The suggested measurement time is 20 minutes, minimum. If the time elapse is a "long time" of none use, it is suggested to place the unit in a clean ventilation environment for 2 hours before use. Sensors may drift after prolong use, suggest recalibration outside.I measured 3 consecutive times in my office. The #1 and # 2 are almost identical, #3 is off a little. I would say the device is good enough for home use. However, I don't have a standard to compare against.I would recommend BLATN Smart 128s Air Quality Monitor Indoor.
