So I know this is advertised for a short muzzled dog. I thought I would try it for my cat as he likes to bite when I try to cut his nails and this seemed like a simpler solution than others I saw. Yes this is easy to put on his head and tighten with the string. My cat is 19lbs so has a fairly large head. It fit fine and although the eyes don't line up he was still able to see through/outside the holes. I know some folks said it could be a hazard, but as long as the animal is supervised I don't see this being a problem.However it is not a bite deterrent as he was able to bite me through the mask. I was surprised by this as the material is pretty thick and the mask seems well made. I would say this would work well for someone who's trying to keep their animal from licking a recovery areas.$8.99 seems like a decent price, however this product just didn't do what I was hoping for it to help with.I received this product for free through Vine, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

PROs:- Better than a cone! The adjustment strings work great and has kept our dog from licking but more importantly kept her from gorging herself on our other dogs’ food bowls.- After trying it out for 30 minutes, our dog was unable to slide it off, paw it off, or remove it by any means while it stayed secure and kept her safe.- The sizing chart is about right. Our dogs neck/head was right around 17” and we opted to go for the medium. If you are borderline on sizes, we went with one size up and the adjustment strap works great!CONs:- The “elastic buckle” (adjustment string) can be a little longer depending on your dogs size. It’s be nice if there was a way to Velcro or secure it to potentially avoid it getting caught on something and strangling our dog or potentially your dog’s paw catching it.OVERALL:It may look like a cute gimmick but the material feels good and our pup has been unable to get it removed on her own. The instructions do advise to let your pup smell it, get familiar with it, etc. before putting it on to ease potential stress for when it is put on. Our pup is a food-aggressive dog and since she eats first, this was a great tool to ensure she was unable to eat the other dogs food as well as prevent her from attacking the other dogs until they are done first. It also works well when her allergies start to flare up and she non-stop licks her paws. This prevents her from licking until we can get her to the vet for her regular allergy shot.

I have a very small french bulldog & this mask does not even remotely fit her face. It is way too small. I did see on the item itself the tag says s which I assume is small however upon ordering I did not see a selection of sizes. Quite disappointed in this

Got this to trim my dogs nails she tends to bite and this definitely prevents that but she’s super creepy when she has it on. Her grumpy eyes just starting through the holes of this happy panda is funny and also creepy. She can’t bite it and has yet to be able to chew it. The ears fit her ears well. It works well for its purpose. It’s easy to out in and take off.

I've come across several reviews from different sellers claiming that this muzzle can be dangerous, but I want to clarify a few things. First, muzzles should never be left on unattended, as that's a general safety precaution. I have an English Bulldog who is already accustomed to wearing a muzzle. The first time I put it on him, it took him about 5-10 minutes to adjust, but after that, he was fine. I purchased an XL size, which was almost perfect, but since my bulldog has a more oblong face, I’m going to try a size L to see if it offers a better fit around the eyes. I'll keep the XL as a backup.The muzzle does come with a slip string/rope to secure it around the neck, but I still wouldn't leave him unsupervised while wearing it, as that's what most muzzle guidelines suggest. If you're concerned about the plastic mechanism, you can tie a stopper knot to prevent it from tightening too much. It's a cute design, and my bulldog actually seems to prefer it over other muzzles. I wanted the fit around his face to be as loose as possible, and it does the job well. I wouldn’t recommend making it too tight, especially since bulldogs can have trouble breathing.
