I went camping a week ago and it was my first time using a tie down for my dogs. I saw that this one claims to be sturdier than the "screw" looking stakes so I figured I'd give it a try. I got this in both the metal and plastic version and they both worked exactly the same. I imagine the plastic would break down sooner though but it definitely hasn't yet.I will say, it stayed put! Granted, my dog isn't much of a puller but still! It feels extra secure considering there are 4 stakes that "screw" into the ground. I also like that the leash is metal so it can't be chewed through.If I had to offer any suggestions to the company though, I would recommend they provide a carrying bag. After use, you can imagine that there is mud and dirt embedded in the stakes so packing it up without a bag is pretty messy. Other than that though, so far it's proven worth it!

Seems to work fine so far, but was advertised to come with a 40ft cable. Mine came with a 20ft cable and I subsequently had to buy a new one the correct length

Why I love this!Rust: I have bought multiple options of leads/stakes recently & they have all rusted immediately without even having harsh weather. It’s still only been a few weeks but zero sign of rusting so far.Aesthetics: I really like that it’s not an obvious bright orange handle that screws into the ground & is much more subtle. I can leave it in the ground and not have it be an eyesore.Long nails: I was a bit worried that the nails might be too long to place in various locations in my yard. To my surprise, they have worked seamlessly. It also surprisingly seems more secure than the giant screw-in ones. It also does far less damage to my weed fabric.I have purchased a few similar dog leads for my yard as I’m out in the front of my house often doing yard work and my sweet adopted senior loves to run after anyone & anything he spots with his one eye which includes running out into traffic due to his lack of peripheral vision and my street gets busy from a nearby school.

The plate, 20' runner and the stakes are all heavy duty, and work very well. The swivel and clips are well made, and the center post is bolted to the Very strong large plastic mounting plate. The footprint of the plate is of good size and helps with keeping the stakes in the ground. The swivel moves and rotates with ease, helping keep the cable from getting tangled and my dog safe.Rather than pounding in the stakes I used my impact driver& 13mm socket (does not come with it), and they screwed into the ground with ease making the installation very easy. But consider carefully where you place it, as they don't come out with ease (a good thing)It's well worth the money, love the design, and it looks great in the yard. I bought this to use when we go camping. The 360-degree swivel and 15-foot cable seemed like a great idea. However, it mostly just gives my dog more things to get tangled in.The swivel stake is well made and has four stakes to hold it firmly in place. The cable is a good alternative; it doesn’t hurt as much as a chain does when you get wrapped up in it.This product is well made and does what it promises. However, for us, it’s not the best option.
