I use the D10 on the 16" floor tom, and the 2 D29s on 12 and 13 inch toms. The snare mic will end up on a 10" tom, but has not been placed there yet. Incredibly good value, the freq specs are good, and the output is plenty hot. Isolation from other sources seems to be good as well. I have been a working musician for 4 decades, and it's every bit as good as slapping a bunch of 57's on things and in the respect of the 16" floor tom, better. Except these will take a few errant sticks across the face where a 57's head will pop right off.

I used this set on March 11, 2016 for the Mike Zito and the Wheel show I produced and also did sound for. I have another set of Audix FP4 mics but wanted a newer set than what I had and wanted to try the CAD set on recommendation of a friend of mine. They are built like a set that costs 3 times as much. The kick mic is approx the size and weight of a Shure Beta 52. The others are a nice compact size and mount quickly on the drum head ring. All the mics sounded wonderful that night. The kick mic is very accurate and supplies plenty of punch. I run a Peavey Kosmos on the kick channel to clarify and add sub-harmonics to the kick signal after the gate. It took very little to liven up the kick. The snare and tom mics are pretty much on it too with just a slight upper mid range boost curve around 4k but was corrected with the drum mix eq. The drum mix came through loud and clear without a hitch.All-in-all I guess for the price, construction and sound these are a great choice for your sound system. That night was a small to medium room around 200-225 people and I used 2 large custom 18" sub cabs and 2 Peavey SP5 BX's for the front sound and all Yamaha BR M12 stage monitors run with various Peavey CS amps.
