I got this beautiful box as a place to keep a pearl necklace so there's no chance the pearls will get scratched. I'm very pleased with the quality of the box. The color is a deep midnight blue. The velvet looks and feels sumptuous. There are two little tabs near the top corners that can be adjusted to hold your necklace. There's a diagonal ribbon inside of the lid. You could slip a note in there about the history of the necklace. Also, I think if you were reselling a necklace, you could put your business card there.I'm happy with this box. It looks better in person than in the photos.

This red jewelry box is very large and definitely makes a statement! It looks well made with good, even color. It would make a great presentation for a nice piece of jewelry to give for the holidays. I only wish it had a little more padding (it is padded) or another fastener to keep the jewelry from sliding around inside it when closed. Other than that, it's perfect.
