These are now my favorite pants. Looks good, comfortable and breathes well. Also cleans easy!

I love the Columbia fishing line of clothes that this comes from and own a bunch. These are really nice pants. They are light and soft. They aren't a ripstop like fabric like some fishing pants are. While those have their place, they can be noisy walking. These are soft and quiet. The pockets are all mesh on the inside to help with cooling you down. The sizing is probably spot on. They almost feel slightly loose in the waist for me, but the rest of the leg is comfortably sized. I wear a 38x32 in jeans with slightly bigger thighs. The thigh sizing is great in these despite the waist being slightly looser than I expected. Since I'd be wearing a belt anyway, they are probably perfect. The cool gray color is very light, almost a white in color. I would prefer something slightly darker gray, but not a deal breaker. They should keep you cool with the light color. Overall, great pants.

These pants are well equipped for summer hiking with 6 pockets - 2 in the front, 2 side pockets - one with a built in microfiber cloth for sunglasses and the other with mesh to allow sand & dirt to pass thru, a full zipper pocket big enough for my phone, and back pockets. The light grey color and the UPF 50 material are vital for the intense Florida sun on my hikes. I'm 5'5" and the 32 length falls almost to my hiking boot sole. I wore these thru wet brush and walked thru grasses with morning dew. The pants dried very quickly and repel water. Ideal pants for year round hiking in our hot, humid climate and also to protect my legs against the insects that enjoy our trails too.
