This was probably the cheapest, most effective modification I made to my RV for winter camping. It did an incredible job at both reducing road noise while driving down the road AND an amazing job and keeping the RV warm during a cold Rocky Mountain winter. Super easy to install as well.

"Upgraded Magnetic Thermal Insulated Door Curtain, Thicken Polyester Fiberfill & Thicker Oxford Fabric, Temporary, Retractable Door Screen Curtains Magnetic Closure for French Door Sliding Door"These definitely serve a good purpose and do their job well. I put these up last night in no time at all, by myself and I'm 60. I did not realize the amount of cold air that seeps through the cracks coming through my French doors in the kitchen, but quickly realized it after installing these. After putting it up, you could see how it captures the trapped cold air between the thermal blanket and the door frame because it's containing the cold air rather than allowing it to seep into my home. Here's the problem which could be huge depending upon the setup of your home and/or your personal preferences: my French doors are not sliding (these are made for SLIDING doors and does specify that. I could not find any for non-sliding double glass doors). I had to sacrifice how I get in and out without using the middle magnetic slit since it's not usable in my circumstance. As with most exterior doors, my French door opens inwards into my kitchen (my left door is the one that opens inward. The right hand door is completely static). The magnetic opening/slit is in the middle of the blanket, therefore, it lays between the left hand door that opens inwards and the right hand door which does not open at all) so it will not accommodate my left side door that opens inwards. It can still be done, I have to peel away the thermal blanket off of the left side of the door frame so I can open the left side door inwards to let my dog out). Still, in my opinion, it's worth using. So, as I see it, your options are limited if you're buying this for non-sliding double doors. You may have to do it the way I did, OR apply it to the outside (Yes, the door frame on the outside of your home) as long as your frame will allow it and even then, if you do not have a sliding glass door, it's going to be difficult to open one side when the slit for the blanket to go in and out is in the middle of the blanket. I don't want to install it on the outside of my home because I don't want it to look like it would be inconvenient for me to get outside quickly if I needed to in the event I need to get out quickly into my backyard, etc. I do have a lot of security cameras around my house, but nonetheless, I'm just not a fan of putting this on the outside of my home. So, letting my dog in and out into the backyard to potty is not at all convenient, but it is do-able. You're going to have to weigh your own pros and cons. For me, I'm only to have these up in the bitter, bitter cold. They do inhibit any sunlight getting in.My home was noticeably warmer last night and that was only one door I completed. I have three more exterior doors to do. One is a garage door leading from the kitchen to the inside of the garage. On that particular door I will install it on the inside of the garage leading into my kitchen since no one will be able to see it. Second con, no matter what side of the door frame you apply this to with the velcro tape that is provided, how is that going to look during the months that you are not using it? If it's on the inside of your home you're going to be looking at it all the time. If it's on the outside of your home, other people will be looking at it. Third con, based on the second con, if you pull the sticky velcro tape on and off, it can take the paint off your door frame at some point. I know because I've already had to do it to make an adjustment. It took the interior paint off of my door frame. If you do take it off every year, you're going to have to buy new velcro the next time you need to reinstall them. While these are not major issues when you're trying to survive Sub-Zero weather and keep your furnace from running constantly, it is definitely something to think about. Other than the above velcro tape cons, I do believe these are worth their weight in gold. I am definitely going to keep them because we are coming into a very nasty, nasty cold snap and ice storm in the Midwest and I don't want to pay high heating bills and risk water pipes freezing because I didn't at least try to winterize my home the best that I can. Second to that, should the electricity go off in this bitter cold and snow, at least I will have peace of mind knowing that I did what I could to keep the bitter, bitter cold outside and not have my furnace battle with incoming cold air. Personally, I'd rather be a little inconvenienced by all this than deal with the cold air coming in through doors that are not sealed well and deal with a furnace that runs more than it would had I not done something to keep the cold air out as much as possible. One more thing... after completely washing down your door frame to get all dirt and grease off of it if there is any, you may have to heat up your door frames with a blow dryer to get the velcro to stick the first time. I experienced this putting it up. My door frame was a little bit colder than it should have been in the velcro would not stick.Overall, I think this was a smart purchase and I'm already noticing my home is staying MUCH warmer and my furnace is running a lot less.

Not a good photo BUT we have an old farmhouse house with a large sliding glass door that is not sealed very well at all and is old so when we get the winds out here it blows right through this door making it extremely difficult to keep the house warm in the winter and cool in the summer. But I love natural light. So this was the perfect option. So far it has stopped the cold winter breeze from ripping through our living room. Can't wait to see if it helps keep the living room cool in the summer. Very nice, heavy duty quality, easy to put up, perfect size, tape holds very well does come with nails to ensure it stays up and the magnets are quite strong!
