Oh my God these curtains are gorgeous! I wouldn't say they're 100% blackout but they definitely help Blick out a good 80% of light. I love the addition of the sheer fabric and the rhinestone details. Very classy and well made. It has definitely saved me oney on a light bill because it is thick and keeps my home cooler.

These red blackout curtains have two layers, a VERY heavy satin layer and a more sheer layer that feels sort of like a nylon net. They do not look at all like the soft red that is pictured, but are a very bright vivid red. If you are going to hang things, you are going to need a very heavy curtain rod due to the weight and thickness of these curtains. And if you want a soft red as pictured, these are not the curtains for you. For the most part these seem well made and well stitched, they are just incredibly heavy and the worst part about them is that they have this awful plastic silver trim with fake "rhinestones" that is very cheap and completely takes away from the look of the curtains. I think it would be very difficult to removed this trim without damaging the curtains, but hate the way it looks. Overall I am disappointed with these curtains and don't feel they are as pictured.

Nowhere in the description does it mention the gaudy crystal banner going across the tops of these curtains. In the pictures it shows a decorative band that I could live with but that's not what this has. The curtains are VERY heavy, you will need an extremely strong rod to hold them up. The sheer material is like a stretchy netting and the blackout curtains are thick satin material, nothing in the looks or material makes me want to hang these anywhere in my house, let alone my living room as I had planned. The tie backs are very short, and just 2 straight pieces of cloth, they are next to my 6 inch phone to compare lengths in the second picture. As for "Machine washable", there is no way these would come out of the washer in the same condition as they went in, the crystal band would either come off of fall apart, the sheer material will easily tear, and the satin would be nothing but wrinkles, satin doesn't wash well at all. It would take a very specifically decorated room for these to blend in.
