Lasted 40 minutes,leaving us stranded in the mountains,cannot seem to get in touch with customer service to get either a replacement,or funds returned.

But unfortunately it would not charge at all and on closer inspection it had a bad voltage regulator. Returned for refund immediately.

My OEM alternator finally kicked the can on my 1997 Monter SR. Ordered thie alternator and it shipped quickly and arrived on time. Looks of good quality, installed perfectly and voltage was right where it should be right off the bat. A very nice extra was the inclusion of the test numbers sheet in the box with the date of testing. They clearly load test and bench check every alternator so that adds some confidence.

Can’t beat the price for a new alternator as most are rebuilt. Fits and works perfectly in my montero sport, 2002 Xls 3.5LI’ve used it for 2 months now 5,000 miles and no issues.Advice, it’s easier to unscrew the air filter basket and put it to the side and then install the alternator rather than taking off the passenger side tire. Just my opinion.

So far so good. This is my 3rd alternator in less than one year... the first 2 were refurbished units from Duralast and nothing but problems after a few months. I found this alternator at substantially less cost for a NEW unit than what I paid for a remanufactured unit. I decided to give this alternator a try and very happy with purchase.I was at first weary of purchasing this due to the low cost and was uncertain of manufacturer reputation but researched the company online and they had great reviews.Great alternator at a great cost. They even enclose the printed test specs for the item. Happy with alternator and quality built. If anything shall arise with this alternator I will update review.Recommended manufacturer!********* UPDATE 7/29/2016 **********Still going strong and not one issue. Very happy with this alternator and brand!********* UPDATE 1/14/2018 **********Perfection - No issues and running strong as day one.********* Final UPDATE 2/11/19 **********Had to replace this alternator as the voltage regulator conked out on me putting out 19+volts and causing all sorts of electrical issues as a result. (Not the manufacturer's fault - I had an ongoing small and slow oil leak that dripped down into the alternator housing and certain as to the cause of the failure). I repurchased this alternator again but had to cancel as it wouldn't arrive in time and needed to get back on the road asap - so unfortunately I elected to purchase a remanufactured unit in store from Advance Auto Parts (Carquest). Still highly recommend this alternator.
