The pants function well. They are cut large. I'm a 36"waist. The pants claim to be 36" but are probably closer to 38". They don't fall off though and leave plenty of room for my leg brace. It's easy for the physical therapist to access the brace.

These pants are thick, soft and highly functional for a variety of uses beyond leg issues. I bought these for my husband who had a catheter for several weeks after having prostate surgery. The small travel pouch which straps to your leg under your pants was so prone to leaks that my husband preferred to use the long tubing and larger urine collection bag. These pants opened down the outside of the legs and were held together with heavy duty Velcro about every 6 inches. The design was loose enough to allow the tubing to fall inside the pant leg and exit above his knee. Then he could hook the bag on the pocket. The pants were a little pricey but the quality and convenience provided were well worth it.

I don't write reviews, especially if I agree that the star rating is correct, whether it's 2 stars or 4 or 5.The purpose of this review is to help guide you in getting the right SIZE and STYLE so you can be happy with your purchase. These type of pants are perfect for hip, knee, foot, or any type of leg surgery. They are soft material, they are loose fitting, they are lightweight. But get the right size and the right style. I returned several styles and sizes before I found what fit me comfortably.• For me, sizing was way too large. With my 34in waist, 29in inseam, Amazon was recommending size Extra Large (XL)--WRONG--in fact, the size I'm wearing is SMALL.• Stick with velcro openings and avoid zipper pants. When your zipper closures are zipped up, bending over will bunch up the zipper making it feel hard (test it on your own lightweight zipper sweater/jacket). Also, zipper closures only give you openings from the top or bottom, not from the middle.• This particular style of post-surgery pants shows the velcro opening on the FRONT of the pants. There are other versions that put the velcro on the SIDE seam. FRONT opening is better than SIDE opening for knee surgeries or any surgery on the front of your leg..• Avoid the BLACK pants. 1) They show all the lint the pants collect, and 2) black pants with black velcro is HARD to see to match up and close. The velcro closures are not soft so misalignment can cause irritating scratches as you move.Hope this helps you.

These pants are perfect for men with catheters. They are soft and the Velcro on the sides of the legs make it very easy to get them on and off. Highly recommend!
