Este instrumento bellamente elaborado ofrece un sonido auténtico que proviene de las raíces en el Medio Oriente, el Norte de África y Europa del Este. Los jugadores profesionales de percusión mundial, los facilitadores de círculos de tambor y los profesores han gravitado hacia Meinl Doumbeks debido a su sonido y facilidad de uso. Equipado con una cabeza sintética duradera que resiste los cambios en la intemperie y proyecta completamente. La cabeza produce trazos profundos y resonantes de "Doum" y trazos rápidos de "Tek". Además, el borde de aluminio fundido se coloca al ras de la cabeza, lo que hace que las técnicas de ajuste de los dedos sean fáciles de jugar. Un motivo ornamental grabado a mano completa el look. Las ligeras variaciones en el diseño hecho a mano hacen que cada tambor sea único. La carcasa de aluminio mide 11 pulgadas de ancho x 17 1/8 pulgadas de alto, y la cabeza mide 8 1/2 pulgadas. Viene con llave de ajuste.

Nice finish and sounds great. I have been playing congas, djembes, bongos for about 20 years and this is my first doumbek. Sound is tight and adaptive. Feels like playing with a snare drum without springs. Super tight and expressive. Easy to use as well. The aluminum is varnished so all surfaces are smooth.

Perfect and lovely instrument with a crisp and distinct sound. Delivered with a replacement head and a practical gigbag. All OK!!

Ottimo. Bello da vedere, uno spettacolo da suonare. Leggerissimo accordato perfettamente. Pittura perfetta, liscia e nonostante le incisioni lo si può tenere tranquillamente sulle gambe senza rovinare l'abbigliamento

Excellent sound!!!,I'm an experienced player,and have played many older doumbeks that were heavier.This one sounds just as good as Most other ones i've played,its almost just as loud as the more expensive doumbeks if not just as loud.The teks are super crisp and the finger rolls come through clear. The highs can get loud and the doum is basey, especially if you tweak the tuning. The drum over-all cuts through pretty well. The design on the one I received was very different than the one in the picture. so I was a little disappointed, but it still looks & sounds really nice, and its a lot lighter than older doumbeks. For $140 after tax I'm really impressed so far. I received it in two days as promised. The case is thin and fairly cheap, but wrapping it in a towel before you put it in is just an extra protectional step. Will be looking for a better case. The extra drum head and tuning wrench were a big plus for the money. I highly recommend this drum and most other Meinl instruments and accessories, which I have used I've used in the past. When other companies fail me, Meinl always saves the day at great prices!!!

As a drum its really nice, but similar to almost all Amazon deliveries, the item is not brand new! There are marks of hands and fingers and it is used! You can't trust merchants selling online, through Amazon, cause Amazon doesn't check the items! Such items should only be bought from the store and checked visually well before picking it up!
