I recently started using this blackout material, and it has proven to be an excellent addition to my home windows.I appreciate the practicality of it coming in a bag. This allows me to store the unused Velcro pieces together with the extra material, keeping everything organized and easily accessible when needed. The material itself is impressively effective as a blackout. It's thick, providing a true blackout experience that helps significantly in keeping my house cooler during sunny days. This has been particularly beneficial for maintaining a comfortable environment indoors. One of the best features is how easy it is to use. I can quickly put it up in the morning to block out sunlight and remove it at night when I want to open my windows for fresh air. The Velcro attachments securely stick to my windows, thanks to proper preparation by cleaning the window frame before application. I haven't experienced any issues with the Velcro coming loose or failing to stay on.Overall, this blackout material has exceeded my expectations with its effective light-blocking capabilities, ease of use, and reliable Velcro attachment system. It has made a noticeable difference in my home's comfort and energy efficiency, making it a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to enhance their living space.

This is truly a blackout curtain that can be easily cut to fit. However, the adhesive velcro would not hold it up for long. Tried repeatedly and the adhesive just kept falling off.

I sometimes work swing shift and have a hard time sleeping during the day if my bedroom is light. I also plan on moving in the coming months, so I didn't want to spend much money on permanent blinds or shades. When I first opened this, I thought it's just a black piece of fabric (which it is). I measured my window with the included tape measure and then cut the fabric with regular household scissors. I did cut 1/2 - 1" larger than my measurements to ensure that I had plenty of fabric to seal out the edges. I then used 6 of the included velco style adhesive circles. It came with plenty of sticky tabs, but I didn't want to completely seal it down because I wanted to be able to easily pull some back if I wanted to open the window during the times that I'm not sleeping. The fabric is absolutely black out! Not a sliver of light gets through! When I do want to open my window for some fresh air, I just peel the velcro off one corner and roll back the fabric and clip it to get some air in. The blackout does seem to keep the room a bit cooler as well. About 24 hours after I hung this up, one corner did fall down. But after I just rub the fabric back onto the adhesive, it stayed up fine and hasn't fallen since. I'm so happy with this as it had made a big difference in my sleep!

Wow, talk about black out! I have a sliding glass door that gets sun from the worst of the day to the end of the day (so only not during the morning hours). The amount of heat it generates is extreme during the summer months causing that room to be so much hotter than the rest of the house. I like this as an option as it is not permanent. I can put it up during the summer months and take it down during the cooler months (thankfully that is most of the year). It doesn't take a lot of the velcro to hold it in place as it weighs a bit. Meaning, I put velcro along the top and just a one on each side to keep it in place. It definitely keeps the light out and reduces the temperature in the room!

I’ve used thicker products than these that don’t black out nearly as well, which makes this excellent to travel with! I love being able to cut a piece and have it up so quickly with the adhesive Velcro dots. I do wish it stuck a bit better in hot conditions, but that might be user error. I’m not sure if you’re supposed to let it cure on the fabric before putting it in a warm windowsill. Either way, the adhesive is strong enough that replacing it on the dot will get it back where you wanted it in a moment. Very pleased with this purchase and the largest size will last quite a while for various needs. The value is so great that while I was hesitant to cut it for so long, the benefit far outweighs the cost.
