I have a very lazy Frenchie that I am certain would not have exert the energy to hold her head up while trying to swim. I love that this life jacket has the chin flap to help her keep her head above water. The handle is sturdy. The jacket showed no signs of coming loose when picking her up by the handle. She is a small framed French Bulldog, weighing about 19 pounds. The medium fits perfect.

I have a 43 lb black mouth cur (similar to a lab with more or a tapered and lean body). I used the sizing chart as directed and got her a medium and the clasps are about a cm from being able to close. So sad. Id definitely still buy from this brand a larger size. I think the quality is good for the price and the colors are vibrant. I took off one extra star because the next clasp feels too rigid. Its more square than round which doesnt feel right. But that might not be an issue if its sized correctly.

I love to spend time in my canoe, and I enjoy having the company of my dog when I go. She is still a bit unsure when when she's on board, so I thought having this life vest would be helpful in case she gets excited and jumps out, or we tip over (hasn't happened yet, but always prepare for the worst.) This vest fits her great. She is between a small and medium size, so I ordered the medium, and it fits her great. I am very happy with it, and I am glad that we have something to keep her afloat if she goes overboard. Very nice dog life vest!
