I love pencil cases - I'm a sucker for them - but I saw another reviewer say he wanted this for his old Gameboy and I thought that was a great idea. I have a Gameboy Advance SP that I have a small case for, but it doesn't have much room for all that many catridges. This sucker, especially with the outer zipper unzipped to allow for a greater capacity, is pretty dang roomy and can hold a lot of Advance games as well as old school ones. So if you just so happen to be looking for a case like that, this works nicely. If you need it for pencils - I'm sure it'll work just as well :)

It's nice and roomy. I like that it's expandable. I took one star off because the zipper gets a little stuck.

My husband picked up crocheting a couple of years ago, and now it’s his favorite hobby. We’re always on the lookout for fun, practical bags to hold his supplies, and when I saw this pencil case with the Game Boy design, I knew he’d love it.His two favorite things about it are the classic retro design and how sturdy it feels. The Game Boy look is a great throwback to our ’90s childhood—nostalgic, fun, and still masculine. (That said, it’s totally gender-neutral and would work for any gamer, in my opinion.)It’s lightweight enough for him to carry around easily, but the zipper and canvas material feel high-quality and durable. The best surprise was how much the big expandable pocket actually holds—way more than we expected! Right now, it fits everything he needs for his B-Bot crochet project, minus the stuffing.

This has two zippers. The top one opens the top flap on the case. It opens to the left and has a zippered mesh pouch on the left. On the flap that separates the two parts of the case there is room for 5 pencils or pens with little elastic sleeves to slide each item into and then a mesh bottom to hold the pointy end. The zipper on the bottom side of the case allows for it to expand into a deep bottom case. you could put lots of stuff in there like a calculator, notepads, erasers, keys, pencil sharpener. etc. It also has a looped carry handle at the top that you can either carry it along or hook it inside a backback.

I got this bag as storage for my crochet tools. I've found it to be very spacious, surprisingly so!There is a zipper you can undo that will make it much larger as well!It is about 4 inches wide, 9 inches long, and 2 inches tall (when the expansion zipped unzipped), which is a good size for pencils and pens (and crochet hooks!).It has a mesh pocket that zips and one that doesn't but is below some elastic straps.The quality seems good!
