I found this product easy to use for cutting standard American letter-sized paper (8.5"x11"). It cuts very precisely, there's no give or play in the cutting mechanism. I was also impressed with the safety of the design. You slide a plastic guider over a taut metal string to do the cutting, but the string isn't that sharp if your finger touches it lightly; and it's even hard to touch without explicitly trying to. So it cuts very well and precisely, but doesn't expose any sharp cutting surfaces.I was initially looking for one of those old-school guillotine-style paper cutters, but with an inquisitive toddler in the house, I decided to try this product -- and I both enjoy using it, and feel good knowing that it's not likely to harm curious little fingers.

It is a great trimmer to use. It is easy to see where is the knife going to cut with the cut line. Smaller than the usual ones in the market but makes it easier to store. Very happy with my purchase.

Llegó en perfecto estado, y es muy práctica! A mí me sirve perfecto para lo que la buscaba. Estoy muy feliz! Quizá sea un poco más cara que otras opciones pero el respaldo de la marca, y repuestos, lo vale.

This 12" paper trimmer arrived today. I'm over the moon with it, it cuts beautifully with a straight, accurate, even and smooth cut. There was no fluffy edges and didn't catch or tear the 2 sheets of paper I cut together to try it out. I cut a very fine, even thin 2mm off the edge of both layers, no problem. The arm is a bit tight to lock in open position and I was a bit worried fully opening this being made of plastic but it was fine.I have had the smaller Fiskars trimmer for about 5+ years which I love. It's very accurate and have only had to change it's easy changing blade about 3 or 4 times since purchasing it. The last blades I fitted were the titanium coated one's which have remained beautifully clean cutting and sharp for months since changing. I was delighted to find that the 2 blades in the 12" trimmer are the longer lasting titanium blades too. Delighted with my purchase and I have every confidence in the quality of this trimmer too. Great value.
