Needed to do an oil change on my tractor and this was the recommended type of filter so I purchased. No issues, filters oils just fine. Have used these filters for the last 6+ years

This was a perfect match to my John Deere D160 lawn tractor (should fit all D and LA series as well I believe). When I compared it visually to John Deere filter, they looked very similar. And while Fram isn't green (in color), it offers 35% price savings and does the job well. I usually don't get to 50 hours per year (more like 30) and saving a quite a few bucks while still using a quality product sounds like a no-brainer to me. You can upgrade to synthetic oil with the money you save (for the amount that this tractor uses), which will have more impact on the engine life span than the difference between this and OEM John Deere filters.
