These pants are built sturdily and simply. The front pockets are deep and have a strange hybrid design that makes them function like cargo pockets, where the bottom is pleated. This means that even when I've got my cigar cutter, lighter, knife, cigar tube, and pen in my right pocket, it doesn't look bulged out and doesn't feel irritating on my thigh. My left pocket comfortably fits my smart phone and my wallet, with the same effect. To give another perspective, my wife says the pants are ugly and shapeless, but I'm telling you, these pants might be the most comfortable functional pants I've ever worn (excepting full cargo pants, but even then, these pants are more comfortable). All in all i love em.

The pants were made of heavier fabric than I expected. Which is good and bad. Good for durability and warmth in cold weather. Bad because they will be too hot for summer wear.

So, I've seen tons of ads for jogger pants recently and they all seemed to look really comfortable for at-home life. But, these aren't those joggers. Oh no, these are "utility" joggers. And it isn't their pockets that make them 'utility' either. See, these pants have a feel much like a thin sheet of canvas. They're tough, pretty stiff feeling, and a bit rough. So now that I have them, I'm baffled at what to do with them. They seem too nice to wear as grub pants, but definitely not up to snuff for going out in them. And perhaps more importantly, the fit: They run BIG! I would typically order a XXL in sweatpants, but that size is so big on me that I feel like I'm swimming in these pants (especially in the upper legs). I highly suggest you ordering one size down! And don't worry about the elastic waist...it's basically non-existent. Instead, the only way to tighten the waist is via the drawstring. Truth be told, I love GAP stuff, but I feel like this was just a poorly executed take on an odd concept. If you want joggers, stick with the sweatpant-style sets.
