We have Black snakes eating the chickens' eggs and sometimes thier chicks I have caught two snakes with it. Snakes were angry at being caught but the snake grabber held them.

Used on a farm for all kinds of things. Heavy and light. Been beat up by kids and used for heaving lifting and all kinds of applications. Holding on strong. Also very simple so if something went wrong would be an easy repair.

It wasn't many days after I received this that I needed to use it. It worked great!!! Grabbed the snake and removed it.I would recommend this product

If you're grabbing venomous snakes you want to kill, this provides a strong grip. If you have pet snakes, it seems that the strong serrated grip could wound them.I didn't buy this for snakes though; I bought it to do clean up between cactus plants. I wanted something longer than the typical grabber tool. It's certainly long and sturdy (all metal) however one has to grip hard and after grabbing a couple of things the web between my thumb and index finger started to hurt. Also, the design of the jaw is such that it will damage whatever plant material you're grabbing so it's only good to pick up items you want o throw away.This tool can be folded in half for shipping (that's how it arrived, in a sturdy carton) and although that's easy to do, I'll keep it full length.

I use this tool for feeding large pythons and it works really well.
