We installed this for 2 former feral, now semi-feral cats that showed up. It was easy to install, has taken a beating in these mid-western winters . Very durable. 3rd winter on detached garage door & still working fine. Ive scratched the flap up removing ice from it this winter, but other than that it still works great. I wipe all of it down with a cloth a few times a year & even the magnetic strip still works. Highly recommend.

Others have rated this low and stated it was hard to put together. However my experience was exactly opposite of that. Not sure why anyone would have a hard time putting this together. It was easy to put together and appears to be very durable. Love the price. We have been using it for 2 months now and it does a great job.

Unfortunately, I purchased this in a hurry and didn't check out the reviews first. The door flap fell off exactly 4 weeks after it was installed.The hardware is just insufficient, so the flap fell off again just hours after I reinstalled it.This item is NOT worth the price.

I love it it actually helps a lot to have the doggy door because the dogs can go and come as they please without having to worry a lot about them going to pee or poop inside the house now.

I've installed a dozen dog doors. This one is by far the worst. Most dog doors are two pieces. You cut a hole and insert each section from the two sides of the door and screw it together. This dog door is not like that at all.To begin with the template is not sized properly. My screw holes barely had any bite and were at the edge of the hole. The inner and outer frame are flimsy thin plastic. The sleeve is not connected to either section. Instead the sleeve is 4 pieces of thin plastic that loosely fits in the sloppy hole. You must simultaneously squeeze both sides together, line up 6 screw holes, and line up the sloppy sleeve liner pieces in order for it to go together. It was a nightmare. It took me easily 3 hours and I'm a carpenter by trade and can build anything.So it's together. There is an air gap at the top of the door where the hinge is. I was able to cover that with duct tape. The door is actually pretty wind proof and the magnets work well. I do think that in a few days the fuzzy weatherstripping on the edge of the door will wear out. Time will tell.I think this is an upgrade to the soft vinyl flaps as those tear and curl inwards at the edges ND leak air. This is a better design but it's sooo cheap and flimsy.But, am I mad? Well I did only pay $45 for this thing so shouldn't expect to be a high end door. The installation was a nightmare. I kept telling myself this is a cheap door so don't be mad. If this thing fails I will update this review
