I’ll admit, I got swept up in the whole “you NEED a bassinet” thing, and now that I’ve used the Halo Bassinet, I can confidently say: you don’t. Save yourself the money and just get a crib from the start. Sure, it’s convenient for the first few months, but those months fly by, and then you’re left with a glorified laundry basket that costs more than it should.Now, don’t get me wrong—it looks nice, and the fit next to the bed is great if you’re big on room-sharing. The swivel feature is a nice touch for middle-of-the-night baby access, and the mesh sides give you peace of mind because you can see your little one at all times. But for the price? Meh.The music and vibration features are another letdown. They drain batteries faster than a toddler drains your will to live. Unless you’re ready to bulk-buy batteries, you’ll barely use those features, which kind of defeats the purpose of paying for them in the first place.If I’m being fair, the Halo Bassinet is sturdy and safe, but the value for money just isn’t there. You could easily skip this and go straight to a crib and not miss a beat. Giving it 3 stars because it’s functional, but honestly, it feels more like a luxury purchase than an essential one. Save the cash for diapers—you’ll need it.

Does not fit the HALO 3.0 Luxe. Good idea, bad execution. Fabric is scratchy and feels cheap. Was too loose in bassinet and baby was just laying on the bassinet mattress with a bunch of scratchy mesh around them. Not worth the money.

My newborn would not sleep in his bassinet for anything. He liked feeling cozy and the bassinet was just so big and empty. This insert was a life saver! It gave him just enough support so he felt more cradled. It clipped onto our bassinet super easy and washes well also! I highly recommend!!

I loved the concept but I absolutely hated the material used, I would have given it 5 stars but the material used was very kind of sharp when i moved my fingers on it and there is no way i let my baby’s face touch it all night
