Made two cuts on a 3/16" cable. Cut clean and easy. The third,forth and fallowing cuts were not so good. Did not Cut the cable completely. Had to use side cutters to clean up the end. Not as durable as advertised.

Now that I have had a few chances to use this tool it is well-built and heavy duty! It is all metal construction and has some heft to it! It does a good job of crimping and even cutting some thicker cabling. I do wish it offered solutions for even thinner cable but that is no fault of the tool. I will advise you to bolt this down as the swinging motion will move the base. Has been a useful tool already and should provide years of service. I will say that it is not for all crimping uses and some applications require hydraulic compression and this tool does not meet that requirement. Nonetheless it is a quality tool at an inexpensive price for what you get.

this tool is convenient to have.. cuts and crimps. we used it recently to fix some frayed cables on a rig.. it cut the old cable (could be a cleaner cut tbh) and then we could easily crimp new fittings without needing to use a different tool. it feels sturdy and is pretty stable. it's been a good addition to our workshop so far.

Really a nice crimping tool. Worth the money. Heavy duty. Used it to crimp 1/4” aircraft cable. Made it easy. Much cleaner crimping than clamping.
