Bought for daughters hermit crabs. Works like it’s suppose to but sometimes when we put it on and come back in to turn it off it’s not steaming because water has collected somewhere in the tube. The tube has to be a certain way with no hills or curves in it or it won’t work properly.

The 1st one did not put out any fog, sent in for a replacement, the second one worked great, it does great for my snake. Quiet to where you do not even know it is running, literally clear out the additional pieces put in water and it is ready to use, durability unknown as that comes with time and use

I got this hoping it would work for my greenhouse, and so was delighted to see the box clearly states it’s also suitable for plants. I keep orchids in Canada(!) and some don’t tolerate the dry artificial heat in winter at all well, so an easy to operate little device that supplies a gentle intermittent mist makes all the difference. The mist produced is a little heavier than the light fog I’d hoped for, but running it on a timer ensures that the greenhouse cabinet doesn’t flood with the condensation. Some fiddling may be necessary to find the ideal interval for your own setup, but the result is worth the effort. Hitting on the right space of time to ensure nothing gets too patched between watering and allows the tank to last a few days before needing refill is an excellent return on the time taken up front! It’s plastic, so the addition of water doesn’t make it unbearably heavy, and the suction cups to guide the hose are incredibly strong. I have added a drop of water and anchored them to metal and ceramic surfaces with impressive results. I’m actually a little nervous to affix them to glass, as I worry the removal efforts might risk breakage. The noise level is noticeable but not distracting. I don’t run it at night so it doesn’t interfere with my sleep; I suspect it would be more the white noise level threshold if I did run it, so it isn’t likely to bother you unless you’re particularly sensitive to sound. I do wish it could work better from an “beneath” the enclosure position, but of course the weight of the mist makes it more practical to run it from above. Can’t blame the manufacturer for physics!Overall I am so pleased with this hard-working little addition to my greenhouse setup. I don’t know that I would have taken the plunge at its current price of 90CAD, but possibly that’s reasonable in the reptile-keeping world! I would personally have waited for a coupon to take off $20 and considered that I got my money’s worth. What price happy orchids, after all?!

I’m using this intermittently with a crested gecko tank to keep the humidity levels good. I wanted something reliable and easy to use since my previous humidifier was a constant mess up and manual misting wasn’t workign with my schedule consistently. The top-fill feature on this one looked perfect, and the dual-hose setup is a nice option to help get it right where i want it (on the leaves to aid in drinking).Setup was straightforward, and the included instructions were easy to follow. The top-fill design makes filling a simple process and keeps accidental spills to a minimum. The 3L capacity lasts me about 36-24 hours on a low -medium mist settings, which is decent. I have it on a intermittent timer, so I get a couple days out of it. It’s not silent but quiet enough that it doesn’t bother me, and the auto shutoff when the tank runs dry is a convenient feature. The mist output is strong, and the dial lets you fine-tune it pretty precisely. I mostly use it on low but will likely use it on medium once the temps outside hit minus zero and the indoor humidity drops. The hose design is good, but it’s not as long as I’d like. If you need to position it high or route it around decorations, you might find it a little short. It also doesn’t stay as flexible as I expected and can feel stiff after being set up for a while, making replacement more difficult than it should be.As for the suction cups, they’re hit or miss, as is often the case. They work great on smooth surfaces like glass but tend to fail after a time, but ensuring the glass is perfectly clean really helps. If you’re not sticking the hose inside a glass enclosure, you’ll need to plan for alternate mounting options. No leaks so far, and it’s performed well. I’ve had issues with cheaper misters before, that constantly drip, etc but no such issues to date with this unit.I like the dual-output option, which allows me to port the mist down two sides of my tank along the shrubbery. All that said, I do have one criticism - the mist isn’t as fine as I’d hoped—it’s good, but not quite the ultra-fine "fog" you’d expect from the description, or from a misting fog diaphragm BUT that’s to be expected at this price point, and utilizing a system that uses hoses.Final THought: It’s a solid choice for anyone with reptiles that need high humidity, especially if you want a top-fill design, are tired of leaky tanks, and want the dual ports. Just keep the hose length and suction cup limits in mind when planning your setup. For single-tank setups or smaller enclosures, it works great. If you’re running or planning a larger or more elaborate system, you might want to explore other options, or you’ll have to supplement with some DIY hose extensions, but that’s to be expected.
