The IPF-300 TSB weighs a relatively feather-like 6.84 pounds, or about half if it's solid-body cousin, the IP-300-TSB that is listed at 12.47 lbs. When this was delivered today, the single layer carton looked like it was new, when usually, IYV cartons coming from the other side of the planet, suffer quite a bit, depending on the delivery method. There was absolutely no damage to the carton or the guitar inside; no marks, gouges, scrapes, as if Scotty himself beamed it here. The listing photos are disappointing in comparison to seeing this guitar in person, as it’s solid-body cousin. This finish on both this and the solid-body is the best of any IYV guitars; as delivered, there was no film, smudges, dirt, grit, scuffing, scratches, or dings, it’s easy to hold and play.Like this it’s solid-body cousin, (the IP-300-TSB) the finish on ours is clear from the base to the top level clear coat and the gloss is smooth. During inspection and handling, I used cotton gloves and afterward wiped the guitar down with a polishing cloth. The use of your preference of a high quality polish or wax will maintain the finish for years. This neck was a nice surprise and with the light weight it was easy to hold and play. It was in perfect alignment, without any need for adjustments thus far, especially after traveling from half a world away. The factory strings felt surprisingly responsive, certainly not the usual dead and dull sound, and without any grit, film or rust which others have reported, usually common on factory installed strings (there was no rice-paper wrapping). Another nice surprise was that the factory strings had been de-tuned prior to shipping and storage. Leaving strings at pitch for extended periods without playing can inflict stress and damage to the neck. The string gauge from the factory played well enough, a size smaller should handle well enough without any buzzing. Fret spacing, intonation is also spot-on. On checking with the straight edge, the frets have no sprout and no beveling/leveling or other work is indicated. The fretboard on the top and both sides are flat and smooth, there are no uncomfortable edges. Recommendation, this IYV and it’s solid-body cousin make a perfect-playing pair, grab one or both!

The IYV IPF-300 TSB boasts a stunning finish, with a sunburst-colored body that gives it a classic yet modern aesthetic. The guitar's body is typically made of resonant tonewood like mahogany, contributing to a warm and rich tonal character. The smooth contour and comfortable weight (5 lbs) make it ideal for long playing practice, while the glossy finish adds to its visual appeal. The neck of the IYV IPF-300 is slim and fast. The fretboard has a smooth feel, and the frets are well-dressed for easy playability. The guitar's neck profile allows for easy access to higher frets. Lowering the action and a new set of strings will give you a fantastic guitar !Equipped with a pair of humbucking pickups, the IYV IPF-300 delivers a balanced range of tones, from warm and smooth clean sounds to punchy, powerful distortion. The pickups are versatile enough to handle a variety of genres. The volume and tone knobs and pickup selector switch are intuitive and responsive, allowing you to dial in the perfect sound with ease. The IYV IPF-300 TSB is a good value for its price point. The craftsmanship is high, and the guitar offers features that appeal to both beginners and intermediate players without breaking the bank. It competes well with other mid-range guitars in the same category, delivering excellent tone and comfort for a wide range of musical styles.Overall, the IPF-300 TSB is a well-crafted, versatile electric guitar that performs well in a variety of musical settings. Its beautiful finish, great playability, and solid tone make it a reliable choice for guitarists looking for a great all-around instrument. Whether you're a novice or more advanced player, it offers an excellent balance of quality and affordability.

This is a nice looking guitar at a great price. More importantly, it sounds nice.Playability is ok, but I haven't set it up or changed strings yet. Then I suspect itwill be just fine. I am using with an Orange amplifier and the sound is awesome.Get some lemon oil and do the fretboard as it seemed on the dry side to me.Can't really go wrong with this guitar at the price point it is at. With better strings,in my case I will put on Elixer light gauge, this will be a nice sounding and playing guitarwhich I wouldn't hesitate to gig with. Nice and light too!

This is my 4th IYV guitar and I LOVE them. This last one is a notch down in in cosmetic quality from the first three, but playability and tone are exceptional. Especially for the price. I like the PRS body style but never had played a PRS guitar that I even remotely liked. I love these guitars. This last one is a backup to the first one. All I play now. For the record I been been playing professionally since 1967. Please note: these are NOT beginner instruments. First off the strings and bridge have to go. The setup took me almost 3 hours because there were lots of little fixes. If you can't do the work yourself , avoid. Once setup this guitar plays and sounds like a dream. The nut may have to go, and you might need to dress or polish up a few frets, no big deal. The important stuff is rock solid. These are actual wood finishes as each guitar I own is quite different. My first IYV, a Gibson ES-135 copy blows any Gibson out of the water. The first PRS copy is a notch below but very nice. This guitar is a few notches below but for the price you can't complain. The action is one of the best of any guitar I have ever owned, feel is awesome. This is the first guitar I ever bought sight unseen and no regrets. The other 3 I bought from bin store resellers. I actually paid more than Amazon prices, but I could easily sell this one for $250 to $300 after working on it. So this is an amazing Deal. Good seller, fast ship. Cardboard box is pretty crappy but it arrived without a scratch.

No pesa nada.

I was really surprised at how good this guitar is, given that it is around 280 dollars. I changed the tuners to Wilkinson ez lock tuners it stays in tune pretty well now. The nut while cut well was not glued in at the factory. I'm going to change it for a Tusq nut later on. Strings that come with the guitar are no good. Changed for elixir .10's . Frets and fretboard were rough . Used scotchbright pads for the frets followed by Frine fret polish and f-one oil for the board and it plays quite well now and it had no fret sprout. Lowered the bridge too. Pickups are ok . Switch seems like a cheap one so when it eventually goes I might change the pickups then. The finish is pretty great only a couple of very minor blemishes : they could probably be buffed out . A little buffing compound on the end of the neck and the f-holes. I'm used to very thin necks on my guitars and this one is thicker but not chunky..Very comfortable. Thanks IYV.
