I have an Olympus TG-4 waterproof camera that I absolutely love except for one glaring issue - it's very dense and heavy - not great it using it in waters too deep to recover a sunken camera (though it would no doubt survive the pressure). The strap that came with the camera is top notch and tough, but it's not hard to imagine losing the camera to carelessness or accident.Enter this JCC float strap. I do a lot of boating in murky water with depths that would make it very difficult to retrieve a sunken camera and wanted some piece of mind that if I or the kids were to lose it overboard or while swimming we wouldn't lose the camera and all the memories contained within. For this purpose the strap excels. It's bright, easy to see, and is buoyant enough to keep that brick of a camera afloat. I rest easy now when the kids or friends want to use it and I don't have to give the usual "put the strap on your wrist" warning. My only concern is the thinness of the line that connects to the camera. It is definitely tough and some hard test yanks didn't harm it a bit, but it's also pretty thin and I'm not sure how it would/will hold up to abrasions or contact with sharp edges or just sun and sea exposure over time. So far, half a summer and boating season in, and the strap still looks new, so my concern may be unfounded. Time will tell and I'll certainly update this review if I encounter an issue, but for now, I love the strap and it does exactly what it was advertised to do. I would recommend it to anyone looking to keep a camera or similar afloat!

I am using this on an Olympus TG-5 and it works perfectly! I weighed that camera at one point, and I think it was 9oz. Other float straps said that they could hold up to 7oz, so that was a main factor in getting this one. The quick disconnect is nice too. Some reviews of this product said that the black cinching strap on the wrist strap was not useful and made it too tight for an adult hand. I have been using this with that part unsnapped, and it is fine. I think the cinching strap would be useful if you wanted to make sure the yellow float was tight on your wrist. I also intend to use this with my kids, so I think the cinch strap would help it adjust to stay on their wrist. I imagine this being particularly useful in the ocean, but I have only tried it in a pool so far. The quality seems fine. I did search extensively for other float straps that had something thicker that the thin piece that attaches to the camera. I only found one alternative, but I did not like it. So far, I have no concerns with that part. Overall, this product seems very good.
