I got this set of four plate bowls for taking with us to potlucks and also when picnicking. Although we haven't had a chance to use them on picnics yet, they do work very well for potlucks. We really like the size of these plate bowls--nothing small here! Although they wouldn't be our number one choice for a dedicated soup holder, they work better than anything we have come across for general purpose at potlucks--holding both solid foods, foods with squish (potluck standards), and fine for stews. It is well worth it to us to have one product that does it all and something which is reusable even if it isn't perfection in each and every category. Others have commented how nice they look and what a good idea it is to be using something which isn't disposable, so hopefully, others will be jumping on the bandwagon. The plate/bowls stack well, taking up very little space. Due to their heavier weight and size, they are not something I would be wanting to backpack with, but for picnicking, they should be great. They wash up well and we really appreciate that slant keeping the juicer stuff in the middle instead of coming off the edges. They would also make very attractive serving pieces, although that isn't what we have been using them for.

I kind of like these bowls. When I ordered them, I didn’t realize they were more like bowls than plates. I’m having to readjust my thinking about them. I do like they are smooth stainless steel and I don’t have to worry about dropping them out on the patio and have them break. The biggest problem I have is that when you stack them, it is very hard to get them apart. I stacked them with a paper towel in between them so that I can get them apart. I don’t know if I would buy them again, but can put them to use since I have them.

This stainless steel set is durable and has a sleek, brushed finish that looks great on the table, but the plates and bowls are thinner than expected, making them prone to denting with rough use. They're easy to clean and work well for both hot and cold dishes, but the lack of a proper rim on the plates makes handling messy foods tricky. Overall, I suppose it’s a decent set for casual dining or parties, but not the most sturdy option out there if you're someone looking for similar products around the same price-range.

They're a little too deep to call plates, but not deep enough to call bowls. They look nice and survived a trip through the dishwasher without any change in appearance. I'm not sure of the utility of stainless steel as dinner plates, but I'm sure I'll find a use for them.

These are much larger and heavier duty than expected which is a great thing. I wanted these for using out camping and for enjoying different dishes when doing a cat h and cook type thing for seafood and they definitely exceed all expectations. The large diameter and the depth will be perfect for salads, pasta dishes, soups/stews, and anything else that we feel the need to use a bowl for.Highly recommend these as they will definitely hold up to the abuses of being used outdoors.
