Our Story
In 1997, Kanu Surf set out to build and sell better board shorts for Men, Women and Children.
Founded right in the heart of the Garment District in New York City, they first sold door-to-door to local surfers, mom and pop surf shops, and a few gift stores at local beaches. A few good years of making waves, always focusing on quality and value, and Kanu managed to land on the racks of department stores, sport shops and anywhere swimwear is sold – nationwide.
Recently, Kanu Surf has successfully partnered with Amazon as its top online distributor of its complete line of swim trunks and swimwear.
Kanu continues to innovate and bring great new styles consistently to stores across the country. Swim Trunks, Boardshorts, Rashguards, Swim Shirts. Styles that are functional and colorful – for competition, for relaxation, for a day at the beach – for everyone.

My daughter likes this swimsuit, and she says it’s very comfortable and stretches well. She says it also dries easily, so she’s only a little wet when we come back home. I highly suggest you buy this product, it is very nice!

Would buy this again! Washed with like colors; didn't see that the color ran at all. I did not put in the dryer; line dry only. May fit on the smaller side, but each kid is different. I bought one size and then returned and got the next size up and it fit great with some grow room. My kid did not get burned after many days on the beach and boat in southern FLA. The color did fade in some areas just slightly, but that's to be expected with sunscreen, sand, salt, rain and wind. But I have no problem with that. Still held up well, and looks good. There was no sunburn and that's all I care about. Will continue to wear until they grow out of it.

Tumble dry low 😭. Wish I had not put this in the dryer. My daughter is going to be so upset.

It runs very small. I got a 14/16 for my very thin 12 yr old. And was way too small.
