This is a nice size cast iron pan. We used it to bake cheesy bread on it and it baked wonderfully. I seasoned it first for one hour. It is very heavy, so I leave it in the oven with the oven off until it cools before taking it out, just removing the food when it's done. It does have a handle you can attach and use, but it's easier for me to lift it with my hand when it is cool. I haven't had a cast iron pan in a long time. I hope it will last a lifetime. I highly recommend this, but just be aware it is very heavy, as least for me. My teenage son didn't think it was heavy and he used the handle.

This cast iron pan is the perfect size for crepes, tortillas, and even pizzas. Heats up evenly, holds the heat like a champ, and gives that perfect golden crisp on the bottom. The loop handle is super handy for moving it around, and once it's seasoned well, it's basically non-stick. A little heavy (cast iron always is), but totally worth it for the results.Highly recommend if you want a solid, multipurpose flat pan in your kitchen.

I don't always give things five stars but this is getting that fifth star today. So far I have used this to cook fresh made pizza in my oven with great results. I will also be using this to make fresh tortillas pretty soon as well. All the family members like another review mentions at the time of purchase this item was listed as having a 15-in diameter cooking surface. However, it is actually a 13 inch diameter cooking surface. It seems that the product dimensions have been adjusted to reflect the actual measurements of this product. Sure I would have liked it to be 15" in but 13" seems like more than enough to get the job done. I am looking forward to all the things I can cook using this cast iron pan.

I recently purchased the KEESHA 15 Inch Large Cast Iron Tawa Dosa Pan, and it has quickly become a staple in my kitchen and outdoor cooking adventures. One of the standout features of this pan is its versatility; I've used it to make everything from crispy dosas to delicious pizzas, and even to grill burgers on our outdoor firepit. The cast iron construction ensures even heat distribution, which is crucial for achieving that perfect sear on burgers. While some might find the weight and need for hand washing a bit of a drawback compared to lighter, non-stick pans, I appreciate the durability and health benefits of cooking with cast iron. It's a small trade-off for the long-term benefits and the authentic flavors it brings to my dishes. For example, I recently used it to grill burgers on our firepit, and the results were fantastic. The pan heated evenly, and the burgers developed a beautiful crust while staying juicy inside. One specific example of its use was when I made a batch of grilled burgers for a family gathering. I preheated the pan over the firepit, added a bit of oil, and cooked the patties until they were perfectly done. The cast iron retained the heat beautifully, ensuring each burger was cooked to perfection. The loop handle made it easy to maneuver over the fire, and the pan's size allowed me to cook several burgers at once. It was a hit with everyone, and I look forward to many more outdoor cooking sessions with this reliable pan.

The good news is that this pan doesn’t weigh 10 lbs (as the listing states) but it does weigh 6.1 lbs without the handle and without food on it. It looks and feels well made. The listing states it’s got a 15” diameter cooking surface, mine is 13”. The included handle is absolutely useless, and IMO dangerous. The handle is 7” long with about 4” of space to hold it, isn’t smooth on the bottom so it gouges into my hands, nor does it lock into place on the pan. It has a ¼” lip on the end that’s supposed to balance a 6 lb pan plus piping hot food. I had my 20 y/o nephew hold it and the first thing he said was “look how close my hand is to the pan”. So even if you use the cold handle to pick up or move the hot pan, you’re still going to get burned. Once I got past the safety issues, I realized there’s no information in the box. None. If you want to know how to properly clean, season, and use this pan, you have to go to the Amazon listing to find the info. If I gave this as a gift, that person wouldn’t know where to look since the brand name is also nowhere to be found. The only way I’ll feel safe using this pan is to put it in place in my oven or on my grill, cook and remove the food, then allow the pan to completely cool in place before moving & cleaning it. The $50 price tag is certainly not worth it, IMO, and I recommend shopping elsewhere for this style of pan.
