The two-piece design (same design as Makita connectors, but costs less) does not damage your aluminum guide rail the way single-bar connectors do. That is because the set screws spread apart two steel bars and the screws never touch or dent your aluminum guide rail.Disregard Amazon reviews that say to drill holes (don't!). They do not understand why one bar is shorter than the other and do not understand the purpose of the index pins on the longer bar. My set arrived with the set screws installed in the wrong direction which could cause confusion. To properly assemble, remove the set screws. Place the short bar down on a table. Place the long bar with the index pins facing downward over the short bar. Slide the two sandwiched bars into your aluminum guide rail. Keep the long bar facing outward toward you. The index pins keep the short bar captive between the pins as you slide the bars along the guide rail. Insert set screws into the long bar and lightly tighten against the short bar to secure the bars in the aluminum guide rail.Ignore the hole in the end of the bar. It's there for manufacturing purposes. The hole plays no role in the function of these bars.

I took a chance and ordered these for my Wen Tracksaw. Unfortunately, they don't fit. I include this review only to let Wen people know not to use it. The Rails look like quality metal with hex head screws for the included allen wrench. They just won't work for me and my Wen.
