I used this piece to hang an old industrial light. It is about 1.75 inches deep from the ceiling drywall. This allowed some extra room for wiring as well as a little extra distance off of the ceiling line for the engle in which the light would hang. I had to modify it with a side hole and plastic grommet so as to allow the insulated wiring to run into the outlet box. Overall, this worked out perfectly for this light renovation on a bathroom remodel project. Very happy with this fixture and the options it allowed to get this light back into service!

Great piece for lights. Hides the wires and stuff. Worth it

The brushed nickel, ceiling, swag light canopy perfectly matched the fixture color and the diameter made installation easy. What I most liked it came with enough components to attach the light fixture chain in your preferred arrangement (ie. could be attached as a pendant or a swag). Fully met my expectations.
