The whip antenna on the RAM truck tends to bend a little bit going through the car washes. This antenna is much shorter-no issue. However the AM band on the lower #'s 560, 570, 590 etc tend to be a little scratchy. The factory antenna had no such issue. The rest are just fine FM etc. Will keep installed as I don't listen to much AM anymore.

When I go to the car wash my traditional tall antenna got caught in the brushes and became bent. This antenna I purchased is lower and unaffected and easy to install.

I initially gave this a good review because it went on easy and seemed fine. NOPE. This was delivered to me on 02/17/22 and today is 04/16/22. That means this has not been on my truck for two full months. It has broken right near the base. I was wondering why the truck's garage door opener button stopped working. It uses the antenna to transmit. I drive the truck, MAYBE once a week. It might get washed once every 2 weeks. Going back to the OEM antenna. Don't waste your money. The rubber sheath was all that was holding it up but I could feel the break under the cover. When I took it off, I realized how thin the metal rod that holds it up actually is. I will say that Amazon was super cool and is having me send it back for a refund. Bummer because it looked good, but is poorly made.
