These are great receptacles for withstanding outdoor humid environments and are resistant to easy rusting. However, two of the ten that I purchased were the base $2 receptacle instead of the more expensive $12 weather-resistant receptacle. I was out of town for several weeks and didn't get a chance to open all of them until now, which is 2 days after the return window closed. Looks like I got swindled by someone trying to pocket $24 off of me. So be careful and don't order from third parties. Make sure you check the face of the receptacles for the WR symbol, certifying that it is the higher quality grade that is thicker, has better terminals with the wire indentations, and has the plastic tamper cover on the hot blade.

I really like this outlet. It has been used in the basement. I found it very sturdy and easy to install!

I have this in a switched installation in weather shroud under an awning. Should be long service
