Apparently, this product uses silica for the salt effect. Silica is extremely hazardous to humans. The package was delivered to me in a bag which was crushed and the plastic lid was spilling the content. I came into contact with it and now my skin eyes and throat are itching really bad. I would definitely stay away from this product.
