I bought this for my son in 2019. I have been playing myself for 20 years and have owned a variety of different kits through out those years. My son has loved this set! As of recent I have had to play in some tight spots while gigging, I had a thought to replace the stock heads, add some better hardware and tune it up a bit. Hands down a great kit. From skilled to beginner, this set up will not let you down.

Suitable for suggested ages, and really good fun. It's not a toy, it's a real drum set, so don't expect it to throw it down the stairs and still work! Look after it, and enjoy the sound!

Let me start by saying I returned this drumset BUT it wasn't because of the drumset, it was because of my neighbour... I was hoping that since the drums were smaller it would be more quiet, but it was still pretty loud (not as loud as a full kit, but loud nonetheless).It was heartbreaking to return this kit because it was an incredible value. The cymbals are passible, but the drums are more than worth the price of admission. The floor Tom was a special little drum, sounded amazing even with the stock skin. If anyone is looking for a minimalist set up, this is the kit to get (even for an adult). I don't think it can withstand very heavy playing, but it didn't seem fragile to me.It'll be the best 300-400 bucks you'll spend on a drum kit.

This is a decent little drum set. I know it says for 4-10 year olds but I had a small space I wanted to fit these drums into that a full size kit just wouldn't have fit in. I'm 6"2, and this thing fits me just fine. Out of the box everything sounds decent. I upgraded the cymbals with a cymbal pack and added a 20" ride and a 16" crash. Next I'm looking at getting new drum heads, not that the original heads are terrible but they could definitely be better.
