These are a niche product that allows you to make reusable holes in wood that accept M8 bolts. I have not had a chance to use them on the project I wanted them for but I did check the interior fit to make they would take the M8 bolts and they did. They all seem to have been well machined and I expect they will work without any problems.

First of all, I checked for magnetism which can indicate if it has a high proportion of weak metals like nickel, aluminum, brass, etc. They are strongly magnetic, so steel and chromium (listed as stainless steel, although I didn't try to oxidize one). I checked the whole bag for burrs and flakes, and found none. I used some in my current furniture project, about a dozen, and they all threaded well. It's always a good idea to check threads before you glue anything in, no matter the brand. I used a couple drops of CA glue to keep them from backing out. They seem good to me.
