Needed socks with no toe seams for chimpanzee and gorilla trekking. They were perfect - so comfortable, no rubbing. Highly recommended. Ended up sharing the other two pair with fellow travelers and they loved them also.

The fit is not as comfortable as I had anticipated. I'm trying to soften the 3 pairs I ordered. I dare not put them in the dryer. Their quite long but not very wide. I bought them for the summer to replace my woolen hiking socks (it was in the 90s in MT last month and never got cooler at night), but the wool ones (purchased on Amazon) are much softer and flexible.

While these are comfortable, they are tight and binding on my thin legs.

These are some really high end socks! I unfortunately have ridiculously sweaty feet and I was a little unsure about how these socks would handle that. However the performance material that these socks are made of wicked 90% of the moisture away throughout the whole day! That is really saying a whole lot considering most of my socks are usually absolutely soaked, slimy, and nasty after about 2-3 hours of wear. Yeah they are seriously that bad. The material these socks are made of remind me of what you find with high end, performance, athletic socks, but just a bit thicker. They are similar to my GoldToe Powersox Performance socks, but roughly twice as thick. These also actually wick better than the GoldToe socks. The extra thickness is great for comfort and adds to the warmth. I wouldn't call these thermal socks or anything, but they are definitely warmer than a standard sock. They have a seamless toe which is nice because I'm one of those people that if my sock has a seam or the smallest wrinkle I will feel it and constantly be wiggling my toes trying to fix it until it drives me crazy. They also seem to provide a little bit of compression which is always a plus. Overall these are simply some really nice socks and are great for hiking or anyone who puts miles on their feet during the day. They are a little pricey, but unfortunately that is pretty much the standard for good socks nowadays. They are super comfy, I have really enjoyed them, and I do recommend them.
