Super cute item for St. Patrick’s Day, especially when paired with some of the books out there on how to catch leprechauns. The stick is real wood and gives the ‘real’ trap vibe.The leprechaun is very well made. It has a wooden nose and the fabric and decals are wonderful. It can be used with or without the trap.My nock on this item is in regards to the dimensions. The sizes are not proportional, especially if you are incorporating the leprechaun into the trap. The box needs to be much larger which would also require a larger stick. I used my son’s toy to prop the box up, otherwise it’s only large enough to cover the pot of gold. Due to the inappropriate dimensions, I gave this a 4.

My kids are super excited to catch a leprechaun with this trap although the leprechaun is a little big to fit so it's not as functional as I'd hoped. The box is pretty small and the stick is big so it's hard to balance the stick in there but it does look cute all set up. There are a lot of coins, enough to fill the pot over half way. My leprechauns rainbow came off of his hat very easily because it looks like they used hot glue to attach it so I used a different glue to make it stick on better.

Oh my gosh, this is so cute for anyone who has little ones who still believe in leprechauns. You could even do something similar to "elf on the shelf" with this guy. His bottom is weighted so he sits up nice and flat. A sturdy wire inside his hat allows you to bend it however you want. I love the little rainbow on his hat. His sleeves and hat are nicely knitted in a Nordic design. Whether or not you use the trap, he makes a fun decoration. With the stickers, your little one can decorate the box as they desire. I know my young grandchild will have lots of fun playing pretend with this when she comes over this weekend.

Well, don't you know, this little trap is set up in a corner of the living room, and it looks really pretty enticing, if you ask me. Very fun, cute decoration. I'll give it 5 stars once we catch a leprechaun!
