This product is a terrible design. It is difficult to seat it properly in order for it not to leak. Not sure why Motive can’t build a cap to fit a variety of vehicles. I would not recommend this product.

The product does not fit the brake head; it does not make a good seal. But at the end the product did the job as described

This product was purchased for the Motive Power Bleeder which I already owned. I wanted to bleed the brakes on my 2001 Honda Odyssey and Motive doesn't make a Honda specific cap for the bleeding system, forcing me to use is product. I read all the user comments on Amazon and the Motive website and talked to another owner at my local Honda shop, and noted the consistent concerns about having difficulty getting a good seal with this product. In short - I had the same problem. My solution was to completely disconnect the chain, and use clamps instead. This worked after some fussing with the seal and obtaining the correct clamp location and degree of clamp strength. Once pressure was maintained, the bleeding process was a dream.A few lessons learned: (1) it is difficult to center the conical rubber gasket and keep it centered during tightening, but this is critical to do. (2) excessive pressure from the clamps is not necessary, in fact I began by providing firm but snug symmetric clamping pressure until the cap would not move sideways. Then with the system pressurized to 12 psi there was only a very slight pressure leak, perhaps 1-2 psi/minute I gradually increased clamp strength based on the degree of air leak, just until there was none. But you will need to find the correct locations on the cap for your clamp to achieve even downward pressure without distorting the cap. As you can see from the pictures mine were close to the hose and generally opposite each other. (3) Despite a good seal there was still a slight bleed off of pressure. The culprit was the brass fitting between the pump outlet hose and the hose to the cap. So make sure this isn't leaking. As with all brass fittings don't turn down too tightly. (4) the supplied chain clamping mechanism - simply didn't work. It pulled the cap down from the edges allowing the cap to bow convexly never allowing a seal when the tank pressure was at or above 7-8 psi. As noted by Motive, excessive wing nut tightening actually makes the seal leak worse, so don't do it. When this began to be obvious I backed off and the seal improved, but as noted was incomplete. As I noted, I followed the instructions to the letter. It simply doesn't work without the modifications I mentioned. At least not on this car, or this size brake cylinder.
