This has been used in all the corners and cracks of my walls, and around the doorway. I find all sorts of little critters just past the "line" it creates, covered in white dust and dead. My house has been effectively bug free for *quite* a while. It was first used to mitigate a neighbor's bed bug infection (worked like a charm, putting a bunch around each of my bed posts). I strongly suggest a Pest Pistol or other dispersion device, any respirator or N95 mask, and giving the area several hours for the dust to settle after application - it being food grade and thus "safe" if consumed doesn't mean you want to inhale the particulate!

Ya había tomado Diatomeas de otras marcas, pero este producto es de una calidad superior que bien vale su precio. Estoy contenta y si lo recomiendo.

I began using Diatomaceous Earth as part of a new life style change beginning September 1, 2015. Getting my body mainly alkaline. This soft powder does far too many amazing things to name, but I specifically bought it to clean out the parasites in my body. My homeopathic Dr., recommended 2 teaspoons a day, one in the morning and one in the evening for ONE MONTH. Then by the second month, to just do one teaspoon a day. The benefits of Diatomaceous Earth are noticed right away! In addition to my lifestyle change, I was also told the healthiest way to drink water, is 1/2 of your body weight in oz. every single day - no excuses. That's also a small part of what I have been doing.Early in the morning, I take my vitamins and other supplements, and when it comes time to take my Diatomaceous Earth, I put a little lemon juice in a 7 oz. glass, I put a level teaspoon of the powder in the glass, then as I am pouring the water, I stir the Diatomaceous Earth with the teaspoon and once mixed well, and the powder dissolved, I drink it down. It's a (little) chalky, but the BENEFITS of this product, are the MOST IMPORTANT thing. You can add it to whatever juice or smoothie you like. Now my family is taking it daily as well. My husband, my daughter 23 and my son 17. Why have parasites in your body when you don't have to? It's a HEALTHY thing to do for your body and your loved ones... I will do whatever it takes to be healthy, and this is just (one) of the supplements, that I take every single day... No excuses! If you decide to buy it, use it in good health. It works!

I bought this product after reading about Diatomaceous Earth online. I use this product specifically for natural health and wellness, and it has lived up to it's "hype" considerably. Diatomaceous Earth is touted highly for its benefits in gut health, ridding the body of toxins, fungi, parasites, bad bacteria, wastes, etc. The Nature's Wisdom brand is the ONLY one I buy because I want to ensure (a) I am purchasing food-grade DE, (b) the company is well-known and reputable, and (c) I know that my product comes in a container that is tamper-proof. This specific item meets all of my requirements and I recommend it to all of my acquaintances that are interested in trying DE. For use, I take one teaspoon of Nature's Wisdom DE daily. The DE itself is highly ground, milled down to an almost fine powder. (Think baby powder consistency.) I would NOT recommend inhaling this powder for safety reasons-although it is virtually odorless, fragrance-free. To ingest it, I just scoop my 1 teaspoon into 1/4 cup of water, stir gently, and drink it down. It is recommend to take the DE on an empty stomach daily but I prefer taking mine at night, after my dinner has digested. Diatomaceous Earth DOES NOT prompt bowel movements like Senna, but it does help ones stools to be less liquid and more solid. This is evidence of the DE removing toxin and buildup in the gut area. I have been using Nature's Wisdom DE for several weeks now and have noticed a huge difference in my wellness. No weird side effects or aversive reactions. My skin is clearer, bowel movements are healthier, and this is coming from someone diagnosed with Leaky Gut Syndrome and autoimmunity conditions. I would highly recommend this product.

I've been using DE food grade for about 3 months now. This quality is great, the tub is huge, and the price is cheap!I can not say how it works or doesn't work as far as pets or bugs/parasites are concerned because I have not used it for those things - but I can speak for myself.I mix 2 teaspoons in water in the morning, and most days 1 teaspoon in the evening as well.It definitely works in many good ways. Although I still have reactions to food allergies they are definitely lessened. I still get bloated terribly with any food, but the DE helps that too (hence the at night dose needed around dinner!). My skin and hair is noticeably healthier. & most interesting of all --- I have more energy, and just feel BETTER all around. A lot better!I should note - I am VERY skeptical of anything ever working, and took the DE with the assumption that it wouldn't work - and wouldn't do a thing - so this is definitely not a case of me believing it's working and nothing is really happening.I have given some to several other people to see their experiences.1 is taking it for lowering cholesterol - the verdict is still out pending new blood tests in a few months.Another with Crohns tried for relief - they had bloody stools with it so discontinued - not sure if it was actually the DE or not.

I am somewhat of a "health nut", at least my friends seem to think so. During nutrition school (I'm a health coach), I learned about the benefits of taking food grade silica. I had been having some issues with my skin, hair and nail health, so I thought I'd give this a try. It is most commonly used for maintaining the health of livestock. I have read extensively that farmers use this to give their animals shiny coats and good digestive health. If it works for the animals, it should work for humans too I thought. I started using D.E. and followed the directions, starting slow. I went from a teaspoon to a tablespoon within about 6 weeks. Once I got up to higher doses, which I just drank in water, I did really notice a difference in the health of my skin. It became so much softer and less dry. I have always had really dry skin and eczema, and this really did help.D.E. in layman's terms are essentially microscopic one celled plants. Magnified, they are all spiky looking, and basically act like "pipe cleaners" when they pass through our intestines. They help slough off stuff we don't want in there, and that is how they benefit our digestive health from the inside out. D.E. is also commonly used by gardeners as a natural way to eliminate bugs. When bugs come across DE, the spiky little things tear up their exoskeletons and kill them without any poison. Sorry to be graphic, but that's how it works. We humans being just a little bigger then a bug, are not affected adversely.Anyway, the product itself has no flavor of its own, but it is chalky. It doesn't dissolve in liquids, but if you shake it up enough, it makes it better. What worked for me was having a water thermos and I'd put a tablespoon in there and drink it throughout my day, shaking it up as I drank it. Most people probably wouldn't continue drinking something like this, but I'm a bit extreme, and so stuck with it for a good year. I've since gotten out of my work routine, moved and have been traveling a lot, so I haven't taken D.E. now for about 3 months, and can really see a difference in my skin again, it's much drier and just not as smooth anymore. If you do the nail test, and run your finger nail quickly on your arm or leg and get that white line, well you know your skin is dry. When I was taking D.E. regularly, that didn't happen at all.So, time to get back into my routine! Remember though, if you're going to take silica, it HAS TO BE FOOD GRADE... the stuff used to clean pools is obviously not what you want.
