I absolutely HATE wooden hoops. I found one like this at Michael's. I absolutely love it so I bought this set with the different sizes. They keep my fabric tight as hell. And they're so much easier to use than traditional hoops. It's super sturdy and comes in a bunch of colors.

These hoops are fantastic! They hold the cloth in place far better than any other style of hoop I have used before. The fabric stays in place, and taut, meaning I don’t have to constantly readjust the tension. Definitely worth it.

These hoops are easy to use and good quality. I like that they are spring style instead of screw style so you can just pop the fabric in and go. I also like the color choice.

I like this type embroidery hoop rather than the ones with the screw. It holds the fabric taut and is easy to move the fabric around.

As soon as I received these embroidery hoops (today), I proceeded to attempt to use the largest hoop for my project. The black piece of plastic broke rendering it useless. I have contacted the mfr for a replacement. I don’t want to have to go through the hassle of returning it and re-ordering. I will let you know how that goes. After contacting the mfr, I was offered no help whatsoever so had to go through the process of returning. UGH!!!
