I love the Ocarina itself. Very good sound from it and it fits my hands well. However, the music book is in Japanese, so a warning to anyone wanting to learn to play it, you will have to purchase a separate book if you don't read Japanese.

It's been almost 20 years since I used to enjoy playing Ocarina so a while ago I decided to buy a cheap one on Temu, and the sound on it was terrible so I gave it to a coworker to give to their kid. Decided to spend a bit more, but times are tough. I looked up some reviews on youtube from people who had tried out a few of the inexpensive Ocarinas and this one came well-recommended.I decided, yeah why not. It's a very prettily-painted one at that.Shipping was quick, it arrived in less than a week (I have prime)The packaging was good. It came it a properly sized box, and the ocarina comes with a padded cloth case, along with a nice necklace you can tie to it for added protection while playing so you don't drop it. It also comes with a songbook, I think it's chinese mandarin? It is quite a decent sized book, and has the finger placement for the songs. I will have to use google-translate on the song titles and go look them up on youtube because I don't think I recognize any of these melodies, but it's a fun little homework task so I don't mind. The Cloth bag is what it is, I am a seamstress so I will likely make a nicer bag for my own use, but this one will suffice for now if I decided to take it with me anywhere. The necklace is very cute, the beading on it adds a bit of an extra regal flair to it, it's really cute.I tried out a few songs on the ocarina and it's really nice to play, you don't have to blow very hard to get sound, which I like a lot. It does seem to be in tune from what songs I've tried out so far.All in all, I would highly recommend it and I'm very satisfied with my purchase ♥

I bought this ocarina after seeing Andy Cormier’s hesitantly positive review for it on YouTube. (Basically it was a better one of sub-standard ocarinas.) As my first ocarina, I was pleasantly surprised at what a beautiful little instrument it is and how sturdy and solid it feels in the hand. I could hardly get a sound out of it for the first few days, but what I did was in tune. I’m going through Cris Gale’s Hal Leonard book, and felt some improvement, but ordered the Night by Noble plastic ocarina just in case I was missing out. What I discovered is that I’ve learned how to blow properly in the NbN, and with that progress I can make this ocarina sing quite nicely now! The main thing is that for the high notes you can’t be shy; you’ll get the note if you give it force, and you can’t expect to play the thing quietly. So far I’m really enjoying this cute little musical instrument. Someday I would like to try an STL, but for now I should be able to learn a lot.

I like the sound but unfortunately I dropped it. Note I was unable to attach the string as a precaution if it was to slipped out of my hands due to the fact the hole was blocked that was supposed to be used to attached the string for preventing drops while playing. They fail to check that the hole was not blocked after coming of of the kiln. I plan to buy another one. Hopefully the string hole won't be blocked on the next one. (I was planning to drill the hole but never got around to doing it before I broke it) Note the instructions are in Japanese. Many PDF's online to learn to play.
