For the price, this drive is pretty good. There is one caveat though. This drive performs as advertised for about the first 4-8GB of data written to the disk. After that, transfer speeds slow to around 80-90MB/s. I believe this is due to having a very fast cache, but much slower NAND chips. The drive does flush the cache pretty quickly though and after waiting 30-40 seconds the write speed will be fast again.I was curious what was in the case, so I opened it. Turns out it is a SATA SSD connected to a USB adapter. Just for fun, I tested this directly connected to a SATA 6Gb/s port and the results were the same as USB.I noticed a couple of reviewers saw very slow speed. I also experienced this problem when using the included A adapter. Switching to another cable fixed this problem for me.

Cool disk, a bit bigger than expected and a bit slower too on write but so much better than a 256gb thumb drive who takes forever to fillWorking well, well packaged
