The description of this product clearly states multiple times that it is made of porcelain with high grade handle. Although I cannot be entire sure, it does not seem like porcelain to me. The feel and temperature of the palette feels like dense high quality plastic, similar to PVC, and when you tap the palette and lid together, the sounds is also more like plastic. I have other porcelain paint palettes (as well as housewares), and this is just very different than those. The only way I could really test it, is to brake it, but I am not going to waste a perfectly good palette by doing that. Depending on how it is coated will also determine if it is stain resistant. When I looked at what else this seller has listed, it became clear that they do not specialize in artist supplies. But, despite my doubts about what material it is made from, I can also see that it is still a well-made palette. If it is plastic, then it is a high quality plastic.

I'm reviewing this "12 Wells Porcelain Paint Palette for Art Painting" which is, I believe, ceramic.It is quite small, and is not plastic, which is what I was looking for.In the photo I'm showing gauche paint and next to a #4 brush so you can understand how small it is. The lid is not set to snap together; it just lays on top. I do not believe it is air tight, but I took the picture on 1/29 and plan to come back in a week and attempt to add another picture to show how well it kept the paint moist (or not).The ceramic lid is excellent for mixing colors in addition to laying on top to help preserve paint.Having ceramic instead of plastic also preserves the color of the pallet as it shouldn't stain.When I ordered this it was $15.65, which I pay about 40% taxes on, so it isn't "free" for me. I'm annoyed for me that the price has come down even before I received the product (and my taxes are not adjusted), but happy for you, the reader, who is considering purchasing this at the new, lower price.Since I ordered, the price has dropped to $12.90, plus a 5% coupon as I write this. At the current price of $12.26, the price is higher over other small ceramic pallets, but those pallets do not have lids.Overall, if you are looking for a tiny ceramic pallet, I would definitely consider this one.

Me gusta mucho, lo uso para pintar modelos de modelismo y mw gusta porque es muy elegante y limpio
