Decent brakes, I can stop REALLY well with these installed. Easy to fit, may need to adjust your calliper a little due to old brakes being thinner but that's simple to do. Really good quality brakes.

I recently bought from the chap that built it, a home-constructed (from high-specification parts) e-bike: carbon-framed road bike, with 1X12 SRAM Force AXS gears, levers & hydraulic disk brakes, deep carbon-rimmed wheels & generally good-quality handlebars, seat, etc. Although I got a fair bit of paperwork with the bike, nowhere could I find the exact specification of the SRAM disk brakes. However, these Top Brake Disc Electric Bike Brake Pads for AVID SRAM Code R/RE/RSC Guide RE looked the right size & shape, so I took a chance & ordered them. I’m glad to report, they fit. I still don’t know which SRAM disc brakes I’ve got - Code R/RE/RSC Guide RE – but I don’t suppose it matters.I’ve had neither an electrically-assisted bike, nor a bike with disc brakes, before. The original SRAM OEM pads were only part worn, but I’ve put these new Top Brake pads on the back & kept the part-worn SRAM pads as replacements for the front when they are needed. That gave me a chance to assess whether to buy more Top Brake pads next time I need some, or to get OEM or other after-market compatibles.Initially, I got the impression that these Top Brake pads were not as good, but now that they are bedded-in, they are stopping the bike just as well, if not better, than the SRAM pads. To be frank, I am wary of applying the disc brakes too hard on this bike, as it has a very short wheelbase, &, particularly down a steep hill, I am somewhat fearful of pitching myself over the front wheel if I brake too hard ... I don’t want the electric motor & battery landing on top of me! Not that I have ever done that with my best & practice road bikes, but they only weigh just under 7, & just under 8 Kgs, total.I haven’t been using these Top Brake pads long enough to assess the rate of wear. In fact, it will be a long time before I can, as I more frequently use my non-electric road bikes, or my ‘shopping’ hybrid bike, than I do the e-bike. I do a lot of miles on my bikes: as many as 707 miles in one week 8 years back. But now, at 78, I’m finding climbing long steep hills rather more taxing, which is why I am experimenting with a 2nd-hand e-bike, but mostly I just choose flatter routes! These Top Brake disc pads impress me as good quality pads, however their price seems unreasonably high compared to other pads on offer, including OEM SRAM pads & pads from other premier brake pad manufacturers. For that reason, I have limited my star score to 3 stars.

These Top Brake Disc Electric Bike Brake Pads for AVID SRAM Code R/RE/RSC Guide RE are a solid choice for anyone needing reliable braking power for their e-bike or e-MTB. They’re built with a premium e-bike compound, which makes them both durable and long-lasting, perfect for regular use on electric bikes. The fit is spot on, and installation is straightforward, with the included pin being a nice added touch.Overall, they perform exactly as advertised—strong braking, minimal wear, and consistent performance. If you're looking for something that gets the job done without hassle, these pads are a great pick.

These pads perform well but they are bit on the expensive side compared with other brands - I have only used them a couple of times and they work well - a bit noisy in the wet but that’s the same as a lot of different pads I’ve tried. Time will tell how hardwearing they are - for now they seem fine. Nice to see them packaged in a sustainable cardboard sleeve instead of plastic - definitely a plus point for that.
