Having a DeWalt sander that sees occasional use of a few times every few weeks, I was impressed by the longevity of the original pad. However, I noticed that the hook and loop setup tends to deteriorate after around 3-4 months or so. Instead of opting for the pricier Dewalt branded replacements at Home Depot or Lowes, I decided to try these alternatives. The convenience of having them delivered without a trip to the store was a significant plus.They fit my DEWALT sander perfectly and function just like the original at a reasonable price point. One important note is to be cautious when tightening the mounting screws, as the material under the screw heads is somewhat fragile. Inadvertently overtightening could lead to the plastic breaking and the screws becoming ineffective.But aside from that, switching to these replacements saved me both money and hassle. And although there were minor differences, such as the replacement pads being slightly smaller in diameter and requiring a bit of effort to snap onto the sander hub, they proved their worth during testing. The small adjustment needed for installation was due to the plastic around the screw holes, which protruded more than the OEM version. Ultimately, the performance during sanding was on par, if not slightly improved due to better edges and higher quality hook and loops.

I tried this on my DWE6421 orbital sander. Bottom line is it fits, works like the OEM and this 3-pack is probably about 1/2 the cost for a single OEM replacement pad so they are a great value. I struggled between 4 and 5 stars but ultimately took off a star for two (probably minor) points. First, the diameter of these pads is slightly smaller than the OEM (didn't seem to impact my test sanding); second, where the OEM just slipped right onto the sander hub, this one needed a bit of persuasion to "snap" on. Since this was the first time for me changing the pad, at first I thought it wouldn't fit (I didn't want to force it). Turns out the the plastic around the screw holes on the replacement (area towards the hub) stick out a bit more than the OEM. With a small amount of coaxing, these pads fit and screwed in with no further issues. Test sanding didn't show any difference than using the OEM (except a bit better since the edges on my original have worn down a bit).
