After installing this doggie door for my 85-pound Labrador, I'm impressed with both the durability and functionality. The plastic construction makes it significantly lighter than metal alternatives, which made the installation process much more manageable. Despite being plastic, it feels sturdy and has withstood months of frequent use without showing signs of wear.Installation was straightforward, though I'd recommend having a second person help hold it in place while marking and cutting. The included template was accurate, and the mounting hardware is good quality. The paintable surface is a nice touch - I was able to match it perfectly to my door color. The weather stripping creates a good seal, and I haven't noticed any drafts even during windy weather.The flap itself moves smoothly and has just the right amount of resistance. My dog learned to use it within a day, and the transparent flap helped him feel more confident about going through it. The closing panel is secure when locked in place, perfect for nighttime or when we're away. The flap corners are well-reinforced, which is crucial for preventing tears from repeated use.One tip: take time to install it at the right height for your pet. I measured my dog's chest height as recommended, and it's been perfect. While it's marketed for pets up to 100 pounds, the opening is generous enough that I can see it working well for even larger dogs. The value for money here is excellent considering the quality of materials and thoughtful design features.

We had a Pet Safe Doggy door attached to our back screened porch. It was a good 11 years old. Our beagle (40 lbs) ran thru the old one and tore the plastic at the top off!!!...I found another one that fit exactly the same size to the outer frame. It fit perfectly and is very nice. However, you need TWO people to help put this in..One on inside and One on outside. It was very hard to hold it together in order to screw the screws on to hold it together....We Like the product....and I didn't even know that Pet Safe sells extra flaps. I will be ordering them also, because ours gets so dirty and hard to clean. Thanks for the product. It Works GREAT for our beagle to run in and out from our house.

This thing is joke. The template is joke, why not just give the dimensions of the required cutout? I know how to use a measuring tape and a level. Is that too much to ask? Then the installation screws are a total joke. Instead of supplying sheet metal screws or wood screws that would mount each side to the door, that have plastic screws running through the 2"" of door frame. The star head? Star heads, what a joke. Every hear of Robertson? And the heads are plastic that strip right away with any force applied. I am a car mechanic with a full set of tools, and I had major problems with ridiculous design. I got a couple of cheap plastic screws in and then decided to just silicon it in. That solved the problem. Like I said , way way overpriced for what it is. Stay away from this product.

So it’s a doggie door. Seems like it’s ok, has a magnet to stop it from flapping, in the wind we get here it’s definitely going to open all the time but that’s life, definitely better than my dog opening the back door and leaving the whole door open all day at -40. The screws that come with this a complete joke tho… plastic screws? 🤦♂️ then with steel nuts…. Yeah, sooo the hardware or should I says medium hard to moderately soft ware will be replaced with something useful. Other than the screws that are a joke the wrest of the unit seems solid enough for sure.

Compre el tamaño grande (L) y funcionó perfecto para mi bóxer, fue muy fácil de instalar, el inoco pero es que tiene tornillos de plástico, pero sin problema los puedes cambiar por unos de metal a la medida que necesites para tu puerta

Lo único malo es la puerta de bloqueo, es fácil poner, es un poco difícil quitar. No es corrediza como otras marcas.
