If you have a 16lb fat cat like I do this is the perfect size. It has a lil clasp on the inside to clip her harness to the carrier so I don't have to worry about her jumping out in the car. She does better with the top open so I love that it has this clasp. It doesn't really attach to the headrest well at all to keep the carrier secure. I looped the longer strap it came with under the seat to the frame and connected the carrier to it, that way and it doesn't budge at all. Although the bottom caves slightly when I try to pick up the carrier by the handle, my cat is fat, and it's expected. This carrier works exactly as I need it for and has exceeded my expectations.

My biggest gripe is the Velcro strap on the inside of carrier! I understand the concept of it to hold lid when rolled up, but it’s just a chew toy when kids is zipped closed!!! I think I’m going to have to remove it🙄 Otherwise it’s a nice looking carrier. Lightweight, many pockets on outside.

I originally purchased this, the largest option, to have a safe and comfortable way to transport the Bichon Frise/Chihuahua puppy I adopted for a few hours on the road… I was able to fit her donut bed inside & the side pockets came in very handy for everything else, such as a travel water bowl/bottle, a leash, harness, etc, and she & another puppy seemed very comfortable inside of this carrier on just a towel w/o the donut bed as well, so it worked out perfectly. Even better, once we got home I was able to use this carrier for her to safely sleep in, zipped up, until I felt it was safe enough for her to sleep out unattended… this is still one of her favorite sleeping spots and comes in very handy for vet appointments/any car transport! Very sturdy yet flexible & comfortable for my now 7lbs puppy.

This is a good carrier, well constructed with several nice features like the pockets. I bought it as a booster seat to keep my puppy safe while in the car, but the ability to zip the top shut and use it as a carrier when carrying her into the vet's office was a plus. I would suggest getting the next size up since, like human babies, puppies out grow things really fast.The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the lead securing the dog to the headrest is too short. My poor puppy couldn't move around and was basically pulled back to back seat and was visibly unhappy at being so constrained. I solved the problem by purchasing the "BWOGUE Pet Dog Cat Seat Belts, Car Headrest Restraint." My puppy eventually outgrew the car seat altogether and I just use the BWOGUE product to keep her from flying around or crashing into the windshield in case of a hard brake or accident. I still use the car seat when transporting my cats to the vet and it works fine with the top zipped up for normal sized cats.
