This is a great sound system for background music in my opinion! I replaced some old in ceiling speakers with these, and they sound very good overall. They are not super high fidelity but are very adequate for background music. The in-wall amplifier also works well and has Bluetooth capability which is mainly what I use. I like that it has other jacks and connections for hardwiring sources to it if desired. Overall, I am pleased with this product, so it receives the top rating and recommendation from me!

These speakers are nice. They are well made. They are not too hard to install as they come, but I would recommend figuring out a way to have them enclosed if possible. They sound 100% better that way. I tried one in a speaker box I had, and it gives it way more of a bass tone in the box vs. not in a box. I am going to put these in boxes and figure out how to get them in my ceiling like that. They have crossovers built right on to the speaker, so there is no doubt about signal separation for the woofer and the tweeter. The included amplifier is ok, but these work perfectly well with any receiver. During my testing, they had a nice clean sound. Overall, I'm pleased with them, and they are a good value for what you get.

This was a difficult review to write as there were many pros and I really wanted to like them. So let's dig in.PROS:- Included speakers, covers, template, wire for installation.- Looks good once installed properly.- Included control is convenient and well-featured.CONS:- Included instructions are basic guide but not good enough.- Not easy to install.- Sound is somewhat short of good.- Not for a beginner to set-upI really like the concept of these speakers. I have an excellent receiver, speakers, etc. set-up in my living room for movies but wanted something simpler for my office. I didn't want to buy another receiver and have wires all over. I chose to install these in my ceiling just above my work area. This means cutting holes in the ceiling so be sure you mark them exactly where you want them the first time. The supplied wires are fine, however I chose to install some in-wall rated speaker wire of a slightly lower (thicker) gauge. Running the wires down the wall is a challenge, however if you have glow rods to fish down the wall it is quick. Connected the wiring and used a 12 volt D/C adapter plugged in to the front. That is not a good look and I intend to wire this differently to hide the power supply. The sound is-adequate. If you are looking for excellent sound from speakers at this price, you won't find it. My in-ceiling surround speakers in my living room cost 4 times as much and still are not close to top of the line. These work well, sound good for the price, and offer multiple connection options. Some things that could help are back-boxes in the ceiling to give the speakers a better sound and more low end. Also, if someone is going through the trouble of installing into the ceiling and hiding all of the wires, having a port on the front of the control to plug in a wired adapter is not a great way to power the speakers. As another reviewer stated, my package did not include the power adapter. Luckily I had one with multiple tips that fit the port. There are several DSP programs that are supposed to help bass as well as provide some virtual sound environments. Overall I like the speakers and the concept. Just a little short on delivery and more that basic skills are needed to install these properly.

The main thing that I'm disappointed about is the power. The package doesn't include any power adapter, nor does it provide a way to hardwire it into the main house power. -like replace an outlet with the amplifier unit and just wire the power in.The upside to building your own home is that I can build a recessed in-wall box and mount an outlet and the amp unit inside and put a nice cover on the outside. This will allow me to plug in a power supply into an outlet and into the amplifier... and have them both hidden behind a cover. Not ideal for controlling the volume, but it will look a lot nicer then a power cable stringing along the wall from the amp to a nearby wall-wort. I will probably put a little shelf on the front of the cover and a hole behind the shelf making it easy to set a device on a shelf and run an AUX cord to the amp. This seems like an awful lot of "extra work"... would be a lot easier if they provided a way to wire this into the main house wiring, or included a wall-wort that fit along side the amp in a 2-up electrical box.The power adapter could plug into the side of the amp, and have USB charging ports on the front.Missed opportunity.I guess their product design team thinks more inside the box than outside. (ha)Other than the power issue... which basically nullifies any features. You can use any of the features until you solve the power supply issue...So, other than that "minor inconvenience" the system looks good and offers some nice signal input options. How well does it sound? I don't know yet... still figuring out the power issue.
