The problem with the screws for the handle is NOT a problem. The screws are designed to be through bolted in the door with the finish washer inside the door. If just screwed with a short screw you would be pulling by only the plate.

Product was dented, apparently during manufacture or storage. Looks like the weight of many items pressed down on the plates and the heads of the screws taped to the back caused dents.

This comes with 2 brass machine screws to attach the handle to the plate. The screws are 2" long but the matching threaded holes in the handle are only 1" deep. See photo. It is useless. I have to return it.Edit: I raised my rating from 1 star to 4. The plate and handle are very good quality. I'm just annoyed about the unplanned trip to the hardware store to buy shorter machine screws.
