Great setup. My suggestion to people would be to go with the yeast and sugar method instead of the method suggested in the manual. It’s much easier and you’ll only need half of the setup

Works great using 2 x 2L Soda bottles.Stays between 1.5-2 Bar of CO2.No cons.Use Vaseline around joints to ensure no leaks. For extra easy use just buy a DC solenoid so it turns of the CO2 during lights off. If not just turn it off at night and back on in the morning. Also recommend a CO2 diffuser with bubble counter built it for ease of use and a CO2 drop checker to be sure you aren't over doing it.Will update in a month or 2 with my plants growth.

It worked a LOT better than I expected, especially for the price. But using it on my 40 gallon tank, the instructions recommended 1 bubble per second. And that seemed correct. But it only lasted me 20 days per cycle. I have my light on for 8 hours and am wasting two thirds of the co2 because it didn’t come with a solinoid. I don’t discourage buying this! But your better bet is to get a unit with a solinoid and attach it to the timer for your lights. It will extend the life of your reactants by 3 times!!!

It was easier than I expected, definitely easier than making my own system(i tried twice and failed to make an airtight version myself) It came an hour ago, already plugged in and producing CO2. The picture shows it when the valve is 10% open. I appreciate the additional valve but I would prefer to have a bubble counter instead of having two valves. One-day delivery is a plus. Having to buy the bubble counter separately is the only negative.

Ordered because i didnt want to go the DIY route, and have it look jank while also risking it failing. Wanted to try DIY CO2 before investing in a High Tech Paintball setup.Thought it was leaking at first but turned out Lemon Salt is not the same as Citric Acid. Bought some actual Citric Acid and it started producing immediately. You would need to squeeze hard and get a lot of Citric acid into the Baking Soda bottle to get it up to the green part of the gauge. But i use a reactor instead of a diffuser, so i dont need to get it into the green zone for it to work.Works great! Subwassertang and Java Moss even started getting bubbles ("pearling")
