I have bought this item three times. It's a good value for the money but it still will break if not careful and the wind catches it. Easy installation and fit if you chose the one that fits your Jeep.

I installed it on my 2012 Jeep Sahara. Easy to fix. But within 24 hours, it broke. The refund was good.

This was a very cheaply made product they must have used low grade materials, that within a few weeks use & the very first time my back gate swung open far enough for it to do it's job, it failed miserably. It didn't hold it back from swinging openly actually over extending it's limits & breaking the arm & ripping the product out from tub of my jeep. Now my back taillight assembly & hinge covers are broken & let me tell you they aren't cheap to replace! This now is going to cost alot more than I bought this product for & I'm stuck with the cost to fix all that is now broken because of it's malfunction.

I have gone through 5-6 of these as most have.....and this one is actually holding up and is silent. Great buy.
